Different types of essays
An essay is, in general an essay that presents the author’s viewpoint However, the definition is rather ambiguous, encompassing all of those of a book, newspaper or expose, a novel and even a short story. Essays can be classified into formal and informal styles. Sometimes it can be difficult to determine where to start. An Introduction: This is the place where the majority of information about the writer and the essay can be found. The purpose of the essay is to introduce the subject of the essay or writer. It should either explain the reasons why people want to read it, what they’ll be able to learn from it, and why it is important to them. Essays that are written from the first person viewpoint are generally described as “introverts” or are considered to be more dynamic.
Argumentative Essay: A kind of argumentative essay concerning specific topics. There are two types of argumentative essays. The first kind of argumentative essays uses logic and evidence to justify the conclusion. The second kind of argumentative essay is based entirely on the writer’s personal opinion and relies on a thesis. Examples of argumentative essays include thesis statements, disjointed arguments and strawman arguments.
Conclusion The conclusion is the most important portion of the essay. The conclusion is a strong call to action. It typically includes some form of blame or embarrassment and an invitation to take action to correct the problems the reader sees. This is a standard essay format. It may include a thesis statement, critiquing someone’s decision, explaining how to change it and then, finally, regretting one’s actions. Conclusion essays are usually written about the person’s work or an aspect of his/her personality.
Expository Essays The most popular types of essays. In an expository essay, the main focus is on the topic of the essay. Expository essays can be written on any subject that you are passionate about. Expository essays can be written about the history of philosophy, history, politics, social studies and so on. There is usually no need to support your thesis statement, but the reader is reading your essay with the intention of determining the thesis statement.
Conclusion The conclusion is a stronger version of the introduction. The conclusion is not intended to present your argument to the reader, as opposed to the introduction. Rather, it is meant to reinforce or disprove the thesis assertion. This is a typical essay example. It can be a personal narrative, an analysis of the economy or even a political position.
